Ri0-Antirro Bridge
The Charilaos Trikoupis Rio-Antirro Bridge was named after Prime Minister Trikoupis who first envisioned the building of a bridge across the Gulf of Corinth in 1889. It was built one hundred and 10 years later from 1999 to 2004. This 9,449 ft multi-span cable-stayed bride crosses the Sea of Corinth from Antirro on Mainland Greece to Rio on the Peloponnese Peninsula.
