Lower Town - Monemvasia
Monemvasia was occupied by the Ottomans, Byzantine Empire, and the Venetians. The Ottomans built the entrance to the city. In lower town you can find Plateia Dsami (Mosque Square) from the Ottoman Empire, Church of Christos Elkomenos from the the Byzantine Empire, and a Bell Tower added on by the Venetian Empire. The Archaeological Museum is located in the former mosque (which was a church before that.)
