Naxos
Naxos is an island in the Cyclades. It is one of the larger islands in this group and it held an important status in ancient Greece. In mythology Zeus was raised on the island of Naxos. Theseus abandoned Ariadne on the island after she helped him navigate the Labyrinth on her father's island of Crete. Poseidon fell in love with his wife when he saw her dancing on Naxos's shores. In Greek history Naxos held off an attack during the Persian Wars and it was part of the Delian League. Naxos had wealth in gold. This wealth was probably their influence at Delphi and why they were given "first class privileges" to see the oracle.
